Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry has appointed Evelina Broussard as the new chief information officer (CIO) for the Office of Technology Services (OTS).
“We are excited to announce that Evelina Broussard is the Chief Information officer for OTS,” said Gov. Landry. “I have no doubt that Evelina will work tirelessly to make sure that Louisiana’s programs are well-structured and highly effective.”
Broussard, a Louisiana native, previously led the IT department for the Louisiana division of Atmos Energy as the Manager of Information Technology. In her previous role, she was responsible for leading end-user technology, telecommunications, IT department finances, change management, new program rollouts, and project management. She also served as the Atmos Energy representative for the Louisiana Research and Development Consortium since 2016.
“We all have the same goal, and that is to make this state as safe and efficient as possible,” said Broussard. “We are all One Team. OTS is here to support our state agencies. I look forward to working and growing with each and every one of you.”
Broussard replaces Dickie Howze, who served as CIO for nearly a decade. Howze retired from the role earlier this year, as part of the state’s transition to a new governor.
